Alumni

The Durham Union Society was formed in 1842 to foster debate and friendships
between members. The purpose of the 1842 Club (the Alumni Association) is to
expand this 182 year-old mission, encouraging Union members who have left Durham
University to stay involved.

Dear Life Members,

We are currently making improvements to our Alumni platform.

To ensure that our network of life members is stronger and more connected than ever, we are working to enhance the clarity, ease-of-use and profile of our Alumni system. Moreover, we will be introducing a comprehensive monthly donations system that allows life members to make custom contributions free of hassle. Soon to be a hub of activity and communications, this page will be home to all alumni news and information, including the termly newsletters. Displaying links to all our social media profiles, we are making it easier than ever to stay connected to the Union.

To help guide and secure the future of the alumni network, we are introducing an Alumni Steering Committee. Composed of five alumni, the Committee will deliver a Five-Year-Plan to promote networking and direct donations.
